Stop Using the Application

Review and Remove Dangerous Access
Check app permissions, Accessibility services and device-administration settings.
If the application has suspicious privileges, revoke them using Android's
security settings where possible.
3
Remove the Suspicious App
Uninstall the application when safe to do so. If device-management restrictions
prevent removal, use the manufacturer's support or trusted device-security
guidance.
4
Run a Security Check
Open Google Play Protect and scan your device. Review the warnings and follow
recommended security actions.
5
Secure Your Accounts
From a separate trusted device, change any passwords that may have been exposed.
Review the security of your email, messaging, gaming and payment accounts.
6
Review Financial Activity
Check bank and e-wallet records for unauthorised transactions.
If financial credentials may have been exposed, contact the relevant financial
institution promptly through its official channel.
7
Preserve Evidence
Keep the suspicious URL, filename, timestamps, messages and any available file
fingerprint.
Do not reopen a potentially malicious application simply to collect more evidence.
